![]() In comfortable captain's style seating, with an iced cooler and sun-shade, you will be safely brought deep into the 10,000 Islands for a interpretive tour of the area. Depending on the season, you can expect to encounter manatees, dolphins, sea turtles, bald eagles, ospreys, herons, egrets, pelicans, alligators, rosette spoonbills, as well as, numerous species of fish and shore birds. ![]() The 10,000 Islands, Big Cypress and Everglades National Park are a vast wilderness area. The biological diversity is immense. In fact, Everglades National Park was the only park in the national park system to be established for biological considerations rather than its geological features. ![]() This area is totally natural … Florida like it was long ago. No condos, no concrete, no roadways. We take a "leave no trace" approach with our tours to minimize any impact that we have on the wildlife. We take pride in our knowledge of the local eco systems and seek to share what we know with our guests. All our guides/captains are Florida Certified Naturalists, environmental engineers or environmental educators. An important part of your whole experience is the islands themselves. When conditions allow, we will continue to take your interpretive experience from the boat to the beach with a walking tour on a remote and pristine barrier island beach… a beach that is seldom visited by tourists. This is a superb hands-on experience with some excellent shelling.
![]() Our tours are never "canned" and each tour is different. The area's wildlife move around in order to exist in their world, so must we. Many species are seasonal and inhabit different areas in different environmental conditions, so we must adapt as well. Your tour can include a bit of birding, some photography, perhaps a stroll through a tidal pool, a little shelling and maybe an interpretive walk on a remote beach. Your guide will discuss the day's possibilities with you. However, if there is something that you specifically wish to do or NOT to do, please let your guide know. Bring your snacks, favorite drinks, hat, and sunglasses and have a great time!!
