PRESS RELEASE – Everglades Area Tours is expanding its operation in Marco with five very distinct eco-educational experiences.  To celebrate, we are offering a 20% discount for any online reservation made for any of the Marco Island tours before November 30^th; simply book directly online using the discount/coupon code Marco1 before the 30th. Your tour can be for any available date (except 12/26-1/1) but you must make your online reservation before the 30^th.

Our most popular tour, The Boat Assisted Kayak Eco Tour is now available from Marco Island and Everglades National Park!  There are wonderful areas for birding and wildlife around Marco and very stable kayaks are an excellent platform for viewing and photography.  This intimate tour only has space for six guests so reservations are required for the two daily departures (9:00 and 1:30). MARK YOUR CALENDAR! – The Ninth Annual Everglades National Park Paddle-In will be February 16, 2013. Details to follow! The Florida Society for Ethical Eco Tourism is the beneficiary for this year’s event!

Florida SEE is dedicated to maintaining a professional code of ecotourism ethics in order to encourage an awareness and stewardship of Florida's natural and cultural heritage by:

1. Endorsing compliance with federal, state, and local laws regarding the protection of natural resources and customer safety.

2. Providing environmental education and awareness which encourage behaviors that contribute to the sustainability of Florida's natural ecosystems and resources.

3. Promoting professionalism and integrity within the ecotourism industry by providing and maintaining a certification/recognition program for ecotour providers.

(Rumor has it that Scott Owitz will be doing Pulled BBQ Chicken for the after-party.  Scott placed 3^rd in the 2012 KC Royals BBQ World Championships with his chicken.)

Full Moon/Moonlight Paddles – Moonlight Over the Everglades. Each month, on the appropriate dates, we conduct Full Moon/Moonlight Paddles in Everglades National Park.  Reserve the Guided Sunset Rookery Eco Tour the following dates for this special experience.  These tours depart a couple of hours after sunset at 7:30 under the light of the moon!
